PET HATES
Don't forget this is the humour section . . .

What gets your goat when shooting?
What do you do about it?

There are always annoyances on an archery field, let's consider some of them and devise a way to resolve them.

Hate
Anyone who jingles and jangles and quiver full of medals. This is a obviously a moral boost that they need to be able to perform when shooting.
Deliberatly designed to put the rest of us down, a silent statement saying I am better than you, look at me!

What to do
We suggest going up to them frequently throughout the day and asking when and where they got a particular medal and how impressed you are with their collection.
First time, pay very close attention to what they say.
Second time, find an excuse to walk away before they have finished their vivid description for you.
Third and subsequent times, ask about a medal and don't hang about to wait for a reply.

Hate
What about those fluffy animals that seem to be dragged around on a quiver? What's all that about?

What to do
Shoot them we say. Sneek up and pinch one without anyone seeing and skewer it to the center of a target face.
It's amazing how your accuracy improves when you have something to vent your feelings on!

Hate
Ever stood on a shooting line and had someone breathe heavily down your neck? Annoying isn't it?

What to do
Hold your hand to the affected area and in a loud voice mention something about a strong breeze.
Don't forget to have the same reaction every time it happens.

Send us your hates and we will devise a retaliation for you.
